Requirements

Certificate or relevant equivalent qualification; certificate level unspecified in excerpt. At least 3 years' experience in a financial environment. Knowledge of financial functions, data capturing, financial statistics, public service financial legislation and Treasury regulations, and PERSAL, BAS and LOGIS. Planning, computer, communication, numeracy, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Accuracy and willingness to work additional hours.

Duties

Supervise financial accounting transactions, invoice verification and processing, filing and cash collection. Supervise salary administration and deductions. Verify transactions, clear suspense accounts, record debtors and creditors, process electronic banking and compile journals. Support budgeting by verifying information, expenditure comparisons, variances, allocations and virements. Supervise cash payment capturing and staff; allocate work, ensure quality, develop personnel, assess performance and apply discipline.
