Requirements

Grade 12 and National Certificate in Geomatics or Survey Officer Certificate (NQF 5), including completion of prescribed training. Computer literacy, understanding of spatial data and knowledge of Surveyors'-General Offices' functions. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication, software and organising skills.

Duties

Capture, verify and update cadastral alpha-numeric and spatial data, including historical records and checks for overlaps. Maintain, amend, endorse, withdraw and cancel cadastral documents under legislated procedures. Archive, issue, refile and repair records. Technically examine diagrams, general plans, survey records and sectional title plans. Supply cadastral information, survey data, aerial photographs and maps to clients. Scan and re-scan documents and link images to alpha-numeric data.
