Requirements

Senior Certificate or equivalent, valid PSIRA registration and accredited security training at Grade A, B, C or D. Clean criminal record. Fire Fighting and First Aid certificates advantageous. Skills in access control, patrols, surveillance, CCTV and alarm monitoring, emergency response, visitor and vehicle management and report writing. Professionalism, integrity, vigilance, reliability, confidentiality, sound judgement and ability to remain calm under pressure. Teamwork, conflict management and ability to cooperate with SAPS and stakeholders.

Duties

Guard and protect people, property and information. Conduct patrols and monitor CCTV and alarms. Search persons, vehicles or property where legally authorised. Respond to incidents and emergencies. Maintain occurrence book and incident reports. Enforce security procedures, report suspicious activities and breaches, and manage departmental security operations.
