Requirements

SAQA-recognised NQF Level 7 qualification; 5 years' middle/senior management experience. In-depth experience in school nutrition, food security, conditional grants or comparable public-sector programmes; sound NSNP knowledge. Policy development, stakeholder management, research, analytical and programme management skills. Knowledge of nutrition, education structures, PFMA, PPPFA and Public Service Regulations. Strong leadership, financial and people management skills and computer literacy. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively. SMS pre-entry certificate required for appointment.

Duties

Lead and manage the NSNP and coordinate oversight of its Conditional Grant, implementation, compliance and reporting. Develop and review policies, norms and standards. Oversee school feeding, nutrition education and sustainable food production. Support and monitor provincial, district and school implementation and grant performance. Coordinate financial and programme reports, evaluate impact and implement risk controls. Manage directorate staff, engage government and community stakeholders, and ensure sound financial management and compliance.
