Requirements

NQF Level 1 or relevant equivalent qualification. Knowledge of planting and firefighting. Planning, communication, interpersonal and listening skills. Responsibility, teamwork, reliability and self-discipline.

Duties

Render silviculture functions in plantations and forests. Mark plots, count and mark trees and update work registers. Fight forest and veld fires or perform prescribed burning. Render harvesting services and monitor propagation activities.
