Requirements

National Diploma (NQF 6) or relevant qualification recognised by SAQA. Five years' forestry sector experience, including three years at Assistant Director or equivalent supervisory/management level. Knowledge of programme management, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, public service and environmental legislation, forestry transformation, data management and reporting. Strong planning, communication, financial management and stakeholder engagement skills. Valid driver's licence, extensive travel and willingness to work extended hours.

Duties

Coordinate Forest Sector Charter implementation, transformation targets and Forestry Sector Masterplan commitments. Develop and monitor supporting policies and strategies. Liaise with the Forestry Sector Charter Council and stakeholders; coordinate outreach. Oversee business plans, reports and funding submissions. Maintain transformation databases and accurate records. Manage programme budgets and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and governance requirements.
