Requirements

Grade 12 and National Diploma in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Management or related equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6). Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in financial management. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel. Knowledge of financial policies, BAS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations and budgeting and reporting procedures. Financial management, supervision, corporate governance, communication, reporting, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Duties

Control and coordinate budgets, MTEF, drawings, budget adjustments and ENE processes. Allocate and realign budgets and manage funds shifts. Manage restitution household and current payments, ensuring compliance, timely processing and correct SCOA allocations. Verify and authorise payments within delegations. Monitor expenditure against budgets and spending plans and prevent unauthorised, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure. Compile financial and expenditure reports and provide financial advice to line managers.
