Requirements

NQF Level 7 qualification/degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Management or relevant equivalent recognised by SAQA. Minimum five years at Middle/Senior Management in a Parliamentary and Cabinet environment. Strategic leadership, people, project, financial and change management skills. Knowledge of E-Cabinet, government administrative processes, public service regulations, public finance legislation, the Constitution and labour legislation. SMS pre-entry programme required before appointment.

Duties

Lead Parliamentary, Cabinet and Cluster support to the Director-General. Coordinate parliamentary questions, briefing notes, committee submissions and meetings, ensuring accuracy and deadlines. Manage Cabinet memoranda, briefing packs and implementation tracking. Support EXCO/MANCO requests and liaise with Cabinet Secretariat, committees, Ministry and cluster departments. Manage Parliamentary office staff in Cape Town, governance and risks. Quality-assure submissions, speeches and reports; manage human and financial resources and compliance.
