Requirements

NQF Level 7 qualification/degree in Labour Relations, Labour Law, Human Resources Management or relevant equivalent recognised by SAQA. Minimum three years at Assistant Director/Middle Management level delivering labour relations services. PERSAL proficiency. Skills in investigations, negotiation, discipline management, collective bargaining, conflict and dispute resolution, research, data analysis, reporting and facilitation. Knowledge of HCM systems, policies and procedures.

Duties

Manage employee relations policies, systems and compliance. Advise and train staff on labour law, rights and discipline. Represent the department in hearings and labour forums. Manage conciliation, arbitration, awards, judgments and litigation coordination. Conduct investigations and prepare charges. Resolve grievances and disputes; facilitate disciplinary, appeal and consequence management processes. Coordinate collective bargaining and organised labour engagement. Submit employee relations statistics and reports; manage resources and compliance.
