Requirements

National Diploma (NQF 6) in Applied Linguistics, Language Practice or relevant related qualification recognised by SAQA, specialising in Sepedi and translation studies. At least 1 year's language services, translation or related experience. Knowledge of relevant constitutional and language legislation, translation, editing and public service procedures. Strong communication, analytical, coordination and stakeholder liaison skills; computer literacy.

Duties

Translate documents, research translation issues and edit and proofread translations. Extract and define terminology and provide provisional equivalents in collaboration with stakeholders. Promote language awareness and support employees on language matters. Assist with monitoring language policy implementation. Edit, record and file documents and liaise with branches about editing queries.
