Requirements

Grade 12 and National Certificate in Geomatics or Survey Officer Certificate (NQF Level 5), with completion of prescribed training. Computer literacy, understanding of spatial data and knowledge of Surveyors-General Offices' functions. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication, computer software and organising skills.

Duties

Capture, verify and update cadastral alpha-numeric and spatial data; perform mathematical consistency and overlap checks. Maintain cadastral documents through amendments, withdrawals, cancellations and endorsements. Archive, retrieve, issue, refile and repair records. Technically examine diagrams, general plans, survey records and sectional title plans. Supply survey data, cadastral information, imagery and maps to clients. Scan and re-scan documents and link images to alpha-numeric data.
