Requirements

Three-year tertiary qualification (NQF 6)/National Diploma in Internal Auditing or Accounting. Relevant auditing experience. Registration with the Institute for Internal Auditors and security clearance. Knowledge of audit charters, methodologies, standards, Treasury Regulations, PFMA, ethics, accounting standards and TeamMate software. IAT/PIAT qualification advantageous. Strong communication, report writing, analytical, organisational and computer skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Duties

Contribute to internal audit strategic and operational plans, identify risks and determine audit priorities, scope, resources and timelines. Conduct planned and ad hoc reviews in accordance with professional standards. Identify weaknesses, recommend improvements and monitor implementation. Report findings and provide audit and risk committee secretarial services. Administer co-sourcing, records, reports, stakeholder enquiries, travel, leave registers, telephone accounts and procurement.
