Requirements

Three-year tertiary qualification (NQF 6)/National Diploma in Auditing or Accounting. Internal Audit Technician (IAT)/Professional Internal Auditor (PIA). Relevant experience as a senior internal auditor/internal auditor. Registration with the Institute for Internal Auditors. Valid driver's licence and security clearance. Knowledge of audit standards, Treasury Regulations, PFMA, ethics, risk management, governance and accounting standards. Computer, communication, analytical and supervisory skills. Willingness to travel and work overtime.

Duties

Conduct audits of risk management, internal control and governance. Supervise fieldwork, gather and evaluate evidence, develop working papers and audit reports. Coordinate office administration. Examine financial and operating records, reconcile reports and assess controls and legislative compliance. Verify assets and assess economical and efficient resource use. Review operations against objectives, submit recommendations and supervise staff.
