Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma or BTech (NQF 7) in Economics, Public Policy, Public Management or a related field. Relevant postgraduate or master’s qualification advantageous. Five years’ senior management experience and 10–12 years in government and/or consulting. Broad knowledge of public finance, Treasury functions and public service legislation. Strong communication, policy development, project management, analytical, problem-solving and business writing skills. SMS pre-entry programme must be completed before appointment.

Duties

Direct public finance consulting and advisory services. Manage PFA strategy, operations, budgets, staff, governance and risks. Build client relationships and strategic partnerships. Develop service offerings, quality frameworks and knowledge products; oversee public expenditure and policy advisories. Lead project governance, establishment, resourcing, delivery and quality assurance. Manage technical advisor panels, procurement and contracts. Oversee project financial reporting, closure, lessons learnt and cost recovery.
