Requirements
National Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or B. Degree (NQF level 7 as recognised by SAQA) in Financial Accounting/ Cost and Management Accounting/ Financial Management/ Internal Audit qualification with at least 1 to 2 years’ experience within the public sector expenditure management field. Knowledge of financial systems (LOGIS and BAS). Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Legislations/ policies/ prescripts, and procedures. Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Financial Regulations Knowledge of 125 Batho Pele principles. Computer literacy (specializing in Advanced EXCEL and PowerPoint Presentation). Good communication and Report writing skills. Sound organisational skills. People management. Customer / client orientated approach and ability to work under pressure and independently. A valid driving lice
Duties
Render financial administration. Process and verify general payment transactions accurately and within prescribed timeframes. Ensure all payment requests are supported by valid documentation and approved in accordance with delegated authority. Capture, review, and authorize payment transactions on the applicable financial management systems. Monitor payment batches to ensure timely settlement of supplier invoices and other financial obligations. Render authorization of electronic transactions for transfers and creditors payments. Verification of captured payment details. Render quality assurance of payments. Facilitate and solve payments queries on time. Facilitate payment of supplier bank rejections. Monitor adherence to internal controls. Authorization of all creditor’s payments manually. Ensure compliance with payment documents. Manual authorization and monitor of transfers. Facilitat
