Requirements

Three-year tertiary qualification (NQF 6)/National Diploma in Accounting or Cost and Management Accounting; relevant budgeting and financial management experience at junior manager or Assistant Director equivalent level (duration unclear). Knowledge of public service budgeting, cash flow, financial regulations, procurement, BAS, LOGIS and Vulindlela. Strong financial analysis, forecasting, negotiation, communication, leadership and computer skills; accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties

Manage budgets and expenditure in compliance with PFMA, Treasury regulations and departmental policies. Advise budget managers; coordinate MTEF, ENE, AENE, cash-flow projections and rollover submissions. Analyse budgets, expenditure trends and variances; recommend and implement virements and adjustments. Prepare financial performance reports and financial statement inputs. Manage financial delegations, coordinate audit processes and supervise staff.
