Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Senior certificate (or equivalent). Experience: Appropriate experience in an Employee Relations environment. Inherent requirement of the job: Valid Code B/EB driver’s license. Willingness to travel. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Labour legislation and collective agreements. Employee Relations management prescripts, policies, procedures and delegations. Duties
Provide advice, support and guidance to employees and supervisors on Employee Relations matters, labour legislation, collective agreements and departmental policies. Administer and monitor disciplinary cases and grievance procedures, including maintaining databases, registers and case records. Facilitate the effective functioning of the Institutional Management and Labour Committee (IMLC) through coordinating meetings, compiling agendas, recording minutes and maintaining labour relations statistics. Provide administrative and logistical support for Employee Relations training and development initiatives. Maintain and analyse Employee Relations statistics and compile reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
