Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification as a Social Worker that allows for registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP). Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as Social Worker. Experience: Grade 1: No experience Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions. Duties

Provision of comprehensive, client centered clinical social work services in the Primary HealthCare facility and NPOS environment, with regards to care, support and protection of vulnerable individuals, groups, families and communities, to ensure safe discharge plans. Conduct assessments aimed at identifying conditions in individuals, groups, families and communities that justify relevant interventions. Convene and Conduct Psychosocial groups. Deliver an accountable service through the application of Social Work administrative processes. Effective networking with the multi-disciplinary team as well as relevant external role players.
