Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Building and Civil Trade (e.g. Bricklaying or Tilling or Drywalling). Experience: Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Inherent requirements of the job: A valid vehicle driver’s license. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Sound knowledge of maintenance and repair of buildings and related infrastructure. Duties

Provide maintenance, repair, and installation services for buildings, civil infrastructure, and related equipment under the control of the Building and Civil Engineering Division. Inspect, diagnose, and rectify faults within the scope of the relevant trade. Assist with planning and execution of building maintenance projects and minor capital works. Manage and monitor contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Liaise with Engineering management, hospital departments, contractors, and suppliers regarding maintenance activities. Evaluate, investigate, and advise on the suitability, maintenance requirements, repair costs, and replacement of infrastructure and equipment.
