Requirements

Professional registration and qualifications, An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Biological Scientist – Reproductive Biology/Clinical Embryology Current registration with the HPCSA in the relevant category is required. Additional Knowledge: At least 1 year experience in a reproductive medicine unit Experience: Grade 1: No experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Biological Scientist (Reproductive Biology/Clinical Embryology) for South African-qualified employees. One year's relevant experience after HPCSA registration for foreign-qualified employees who are not required to perform community service in South Africa. Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience after HPCSA registration for South African- qualified employees. Minimum of 11 years' relevant experience after HPCSA

Duties

The incumbent should be able to demonstrate the following Scientific excellence strong knowledge of reproductive biology and contemporary embryology. Technical competence proficiency in ART laboratory techniques and a commitment to maintaining high technical standards. Attention to detail 162 meticulous handling, identification and documentation of reproductive material. Integrity and accountability recognition of the ethical and professional responsibilities associated with handling human gametes and embryos. Teaching and mentorship willingness to contribute to the development of future reproductive health professionals.
