Requirements
LLB/B. Proc. degree (NQF 7) recognised by SAQA; admission as an Attorney/Advocate with practising experience; 5 years at middle/senior managerial level; driver's licence. Knowledge of IPID Act, PFMA, public service legislation, corporate and administrative law and civil procedures. Litigation experience in corruption matters and experience drafting legislation and standard operating procedures. Strategic leadership, legal research, communication, negotiation and financial management skills.
Duties
Lead the Legal and Investigation Advisory Services unit, plan priorities and monitor performance. Develop legal policies, controls, practice notes and directives. Provide legal opinions, legislative research and advisory support. Oversee applications for powers, administrative appeals and legal compliance of investigations. Manage PAIA requests within 30 days. Conduct legal training and workshops and engage stakeholders to strengthen legal awareness and advisory support.
