Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Staff Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration at SANC as a Staff Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC a Staff Nurse. Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays. Willingness to rotate between wards within the hospital. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Good communication and interpersonal relationships. B

Duties

Development and implementation of basic patient care to all patients. Provide basic clinical nursing care. Effective utilisation of physical and financial resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self- development. Effective functioning within multidisciplinary team.
