Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Staff Nurse. Inherent requirements of the job: Will be required to work shifts, night duty, weekends, public holidays as well as overtime. It will be expected of the incumbent to rotate within the hospital. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge nursing processes & procedures as outlined in Nursing Act and SANC regulations. Training competencies include Aseptic technique, Wound dressing.
