Requirements

Grade 1: Appropriate qualification and registration with SAPC as Pharmacist - One (1) year relevant experience after registration as a pharmacist with a recognized foreign health professional council in respect of foreign qualified employees of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa. Grade 2: Five (5) years relevant experience after registration with SACP as a pharmacist. Six (6) years relevant experience after registrations as a pharmacist with a recognized foreign health professional council in respect of foreign qualified employees of whom it is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa. Duties

Maintain accurate and appropriate records in line with legal requirements. Provision of pharmaceutical services to wards and departments. Provision of pharmaceutical services by dispensing prescriptions. Participate in pharmacy related committees (PTC, Antibiotic Stewardship and Pharmacovigilance). 147 Engage in effective communication with departments and service providers to ensure high service quality is rendered. Maintain proper use and care of all resources and ensure optimal usage. Perform standby duties and overtime when required (after hours services). Participate in staggered working hours to improve patient access to medicines as per roster. Plan own work and administer work procedures to meet the objectives for the department ensuring efficient service delivery.
