Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. A post-basic nursing qualification with a duration of at least one year accredited with the SANC in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Critical Care Nursing: General or Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Critical Care Nursing: Trauma and Emergency. - or A 4 year Bachelor Degree 192 in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. A post graduate diploma (R635) accredited in Emergency Nursing. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: A minimum of 4 year

Duties

Provide holistic specialized nursing care to patients in a cost-effective manner. Effective implementation of infection control policies and health and safety legislation. Effective management and utilization of human and material resources. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Participate in training, development and research within the nursing department. Provision of Support to Nursing Services.
