Requirements

NQF level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Studies and at least 8 years' relevant senior management experience in road infrastructure management and development. NSG SMS Pre-Entry Programme certificate. Knowledge of road infrastructure standards, civil engineering specifications, roads supervision and community development. Working knowledge of PFMA, MMFA, Treasury Regulations and GIAMA. Research, policy, procurement, project management, reporting, budgeting and financial management skills.

Duties

Manage integrated road infrastructure planning and development, rural roads programmes, non-motorised transport and road grants. Oversee engineering standards, roadworks quality and asset management systems. Manage road traffic legislation, enforcement coordination and road safety programmes. Develop road transport policies and oversee the Driving Licence Card Trading Account. Provide technical support to road transport entities. Manage branch resources, governance, budgets, reporting, audits, strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation.
