Requirements

LLB degree at NQF 8 or equivalent qualification. Post-qualification legal experience: at least two years for MR3, eight years for MR4 or fourteen years for MR5; service certificates required. Driver's licence advantageous. Knowledge of registry duties, case flow management, public service legislation, storage and retrieval procedures and Batho Pele. Computer, communication, numerical, planning, conflict management and analytical skills.

Duties

Consider and process default judgments, maintain registers and submit statistical reports. Conduct opposed and unopposed taxations, assess bills of costs and finalise taxation reviews. Manage criminal and civil processes, analyse performance data and resolve enquiries. Coordinate support registrar offices and maintain audit records. Supervise, allocate and quality-check staff work; manage leave, performance, discipline and development. Improve work systems and advise on asset control.
