Requirements

NQF level 8 qualification in Transport Economics, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Law, Risk Management, Economics, Business Management, Administration or Public Management. At least 8 years' senior management experience overseeing state-owned companies or public entities. NSG SMS Pre-Entry Programme certificate. Knowledge of corporate governance, company law, King IV, ethics, enterprise risk management, PFMA, public entity performance monitoring, shareholder compacts and board governance.

Duties

Lead transport SOC policy development, research and implementation. Align, negotiate and monitor shareholder compacts and corporate plans. Oversee business enhancement models, due diligence, funding and strategic partnerships. Direct board governance, appointments, performance and ethics initiatives. Monitor financial sustainability, non-financial performance, audit outcomes, risks and turnaround plans. Advise the Minister and Director-General. Manage branch staff, resources, expenditure, audit queries and quality control.
