Requirements

The successful candidate should have Grade 12 Certificate plus a 3-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 6/7) in Arts and Culture / Fine Arts / Creative Industries / Heritage / Performing Arts / Visual Arts or relevant/ related qualification. A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in supervisory level and relevant experience in arts and culture environment. Valid drive’s license. Skills & Knowledge: Organisational skills. Computer literacy (MS. package). Problem solving. Report writing. Analytical. Decision making. Teamwork. Verbal & Written communication. Research. Discipline. Presentation.

Duties

Facilitate the implementation of policies, business plan, strategies and procedure for arts and culture: Review and understand departmental vision, mission, identify strategic partners, develop business proposition and plan as well as a service level agreement, Develop and implement creative industries sector policies. Facilitate and monitor the provision of performing arts, music and dance programmes in the corridors: Provide market support to promote performing arts, music and dance (local, national, continental and international), Coordinate live performance circuits and events, Coordinate exhibitions and trades for performing arts, music and dance Facilitate and support new creative business models and revenue streams and attracting and retaining talent, trade, and investment.
