Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/ B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1-year relevant experience in a Financial Accounting or related working environment. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Departmental accounting services; Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, (DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual); Financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics; General information support systems such as PERSAL, LOGIS and BAS; State accountant duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Working procedures in terms of the working environment; Projec

Duties

Provide effective and efficient expenditure and payment services; Provide bookkeeping and financial reporting services; Provide Credit control services; Managerial/ Supervisory functions.
