Requirements
Undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, Policing, Criminology, Forensics or Criminal Justice, recognised by SAQA. Three years' Junior Management/Assistant Director experience in law and analysis and interpretation of immigration information. Knowledge of immigration and refugee legislation, international conventions, PFMA and public service prescripts. Management, analytical, communication and computer skills. Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
Duties
Manage Permanent Residence Permit appeals, review initial decisions and case files, and verify completeness, accuracy and legality of applications. Ensure detailed assessments and timely decisions. Maintain stakeholder relationships and implement risk and compliance controls. Manage human, physical and financial resources and coach staff on best practices and regulatory compliance.
