Requirements

A Senior Certificate plus a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 6/7) in Fine Arts / Creative Industries / Heritage / Performing Arts / Visual Arts or related qualification as recognized by SAQA. No experience is required. Relevant experience will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license. No criminal record. Skills & Knowledge: Organizational skills. Computer literacy (MS. package). Problem solving. Report writing. Analytical. Decision making. Teamwork. Verbal & Written communication. Research. Discipline. Presentation.

Duties

Facilitate transformation of performing and visual arts to impact on socio- economic development. Promote and develop community/public based arts, culture and heritage programmes. Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders. Manage the implementation of youth development programmes and projects. Promote socio-cultural development of vulnerable groups. Identify and support the development of high impact job creation areas and skills development in arts, culture and heritage sector. Promote the culture of reading and writing, SA craft, music sector and technical service industries and multimedia (audio-visual, design, visuals arts) sector. Design and conduct awareness campaigns to promote arts and culture programmes. Liaise with all relevant stakeholders. Conduct research on arts and culture programmes.
