Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer in respect of RSA qualified employees. 1-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer in respect of SA qualified employees. Duties

Provide support to the Chief and Assistant Director regarding day to day activities. Identify and perform the most appropriate diagnostic images of high quality, be responsible for self-development as well as training of staff and students. Ensure optimal care of equipment, quality assurance and use of suitable radiation protection. Be responsible for the provision of a patient- centred radiographic imaging service over a 24-hour period, including risk management.
