Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Medical Officer. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Officer. Experience: Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate experience as a Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner in respect of SA qualified employees. A minimum of 11 years relevant experience after registration as a Medical Practitioner with a recognized foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service as required in South Africa. Duties
Provide comprehensive Ear, Nose, and Throat care to patients by diagnosing and treating illnesses and other health conditions. Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including medication and therapies. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Refer patients to tertiary care or other healthcare providers when necessary. Participation in outreach services that are provided by the Ear, Nose, and Throat department. Financial management by effective and efficient use of resources. Complete the required CPD activities to maintain registration with the HPCSA. Participate in training and educational programs for healthcare professionals. Complete and submit required medical reports and documentation for legal and administrative purposes. Uphold the reputation and integrity of the medical profession.
